The two most recent OpenChain Project talks are available SlideShare
SAN FRANCISCO, United States, November 24, 2017 — ‘Update on OpenChain: now we really begin‘ from the SFLC Fall Conference and ‘OpenChain: Giving everyone access to open source best practices‘ from the Open Compliance Summit are now available on SlideShare.
“The OpenChain Project has enjoyed a terrific series of talks by project management and volunteers during the end of year period,” says Shane Coughlan, OpenChain Project Director. “In addition to the talks highlighted by our slides today we have been featured in talks by representatives from member companies on more than five occasions during the last month. This substantial level of engagement is indicative of the level of engagement and support our project now enjoys and lays the groundwork for great things in 2018.”
The OpenChain Project identifies key recommended processes for effective open source management. The project builds trust in open source by making open source license compliance simpler and more consistent.
The OpenChain Specification defines a core set of requirements every quality compliance program must satisfy. The OpenChain Curriculum provides the educational foundation for open source processes and solutions, whilst meeting a key requirement of the OpenChain Specification. OpenChain Conformance allows organizations to display their adherence to these requirements.
The result is that open source license compliance becomes more predictable, understandable and efficient for participants of the software supply chain.
